Plunge into the depths of a mediaeval silver mine, the only representative of ore mining in the region, and enjoy the most challenging tour of the entire Technotrasa. Starting point: the decline tunnel to the Old Floor.
The mediaeval silver mine, located right in the village of Horní Město, is a unique site representing silver and iron ore mining from the late 15th century to the late 19th century. The mine has 3 floors and 2 mezzanine floors, during the tour you will walk through the two largest of them – the Old Floor and the so-called Peter’s Horizon, from which you then have the opportunity to peek into the hereditary gallery of St. Anthony of Padua. The whole tour is about a kilometre long. During the tour you will get to know the diverse world of ore mining, systems of passages, bases, chimneys and chambers. You also have to climb four ladders, the largest of which is 28 metres long.
