A unique and sustainably revitalised national cultural monument. FUTUREum was created by converting a former tippler and coal mill in the area of Dolní Vítkovice.
The FUTUREum buildings are made accessible to those interested in industrial heritage and the general public through a combination of expositions, a tour circuit, exhibitions, lectures, workshops and other events.
This is a successful transformation of an industrial monument – FUTUREum into an open cultural centre that connects the history of a unique place with the present and the future. FUTUREum is a finalist in the prestigious New European Bauhaus Prizes 2023.
